DIY ST80 guidescope mount

Hi all,

Whilst liking the look of the SW guidescope mounts, I am not that keen on the price. I had previously just had the st80 rigidly piggybacked on the 200p, but have had a couple of times when a guidestar was not in the field of view of the synguider. So I put this together using the st80 mounting block that it is supplied with and some offcuts of ali channel.

I elongated the rear dovetail mounting hole to allow some az adjustment. It is extremely rigid when assembled and tightened down. Lack of clear skies means it is not tested yet, but tonight looks like the night!!

Here it is mounted ...

As you can see it gives quite a range of alt adjustment. Best thing is, it cost next to nothing except along m6 bolt and wing nut :)
