HD webcam sensor question

Just a quick one:

Do HD webcams have larger sensors than the budget variety & if so, does they offer a wider field of view?

Yes, true HD webcams tend to have bit bigger diagonals (Lifecam Studio with a 2Mpix 1080p sensor). The pixels are small so the diagonal increase isn't big when compared to for example SPC900NC with a 1/4" diagonal.
