Leo and Mars from SGL7

More astrotrac work on a very enjoyable night at SGL7. I gave up with battling with my DSO set up and was having a pleasant time gazing, listening to the shutter clicking every now and then oh and one or two whiskies with friends. Perfect:)

Leo looked particularly impressive especially in the company of it's visitor. So hear it is 12x2mins with a Canon EOS 550 and a Sigma 50mm 1.4 lens at F5.6 (I think - I was on the whisky at this stage of the evening)

Not much to look at I suppose but it brings back happy memories

Spot on Martin I wish I had done the same now and kept to just the Astrotrac. I spent my time looking down at the laptop when I should have been looking up

Very nice... the pic as well as the Whisky and company

I wish I had applied the KISS principle as the one night I decided to rely on software it failed to deliver on two imaging runs hanging after the first two subs on both occasions...
