Hello All

I've had my first telescope for nearly a year now and up to now I've only imaged/observed things at night.

I want to start imaging/observing the sun and I'm not sure where to start.

Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated.

My current gear is as follows :

CPC925

Wedge

Modded Canon 1000D

Laptop

A few different eyepieces.

What's the best way for me to start looking a the sun? Can I use my current gear?

Thanks in advance

Chris

With regards to the Sun your simply need some Baader solar film, cardboard, sticky tape and some velcro. I made a filter for the front of my scope over the weekend its great. As long as you have a little patience and make sure it is securely in place its fine. A sheet of the a4 film should be fine as you wont need all of the apeture of your scope anyway, so you just reduce it so the a4 fits.
