Taken with a bridge camera, with a focal length of 720mm a flashing blue, red and white star. Is it just a camera glitch, or is it more interesting? I have no idea, any info would be great.

Oh and the moon taken with the same camera

The "star" was most likely Sirius, flashing because of turbulence in the atmosphere.

Thanks for your quick replies. I did suspect Sirius after some research. The picture taken from the camera showed as focused on the camera and was then digitally zoomed, from a white dot to these. I think it must be a lens flare effect as you can see the star in the centre of some of the pics.
