Quick peek at Venus in new scope

I couldn't wait to try out my new 120 F5 refractor so just took a quick peek at Venus, I wasn't really expecting much because of the reported high CA but to be honest at 100x mag it was a nice crisp halfish disk with very little CA.

The moon was just as good! Can't wait to really try it out at a dark site now :blob10:

Just had a peek at Venus through my 8SE tonight, looks pretty good but very bright even at dusk. Still quite wobbly, probably due to heat haze.

Yes a bit wobbly hear as well, Jupiter looks good can see banding and four moons, well chuffed :blob10:

Ah yes, I was impressed with the bands and moons visible before it got dark. Which is about now, actually, so I'm off back out. :blob10:

Just managed to swing it round at m42, now I'm impressed, clearly seen which is good considering the light pollution in bham. I could clearly see the trapezium. Think I've found my

Perfect scope :blob10:

Just need to find a carry case for it now!
