does anyone want to get me on my feet again?

ive forgot alot i knew about astronomy, i knew quite a bit, i was 'intermediate' if you like, but now im basically back to the start, heres what i remember..

-i know how to find the planets when theyre out- thats easy - use stellarium and a constallation or reference

-i know where the the major messiers lie- well most- i remember the pleaides, orion cluster, andromeda, i think i remember the two galaxies by ursa major's 'handle' (one above, one below) and ive got a book on them

im not quite sure what that really big silver thing is though- it sort of looks like the sun (joke! )

anyways does anyone have any advice to get me on my feet again

id really like to go dso hunting
