Auriga

Still very much in the early stages of my Astrotrac career, but am still quite pleased with tonight's effort of imaging Auriga. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I took five 5min exposures with a 50mm prime lens at f5.6 on a Canon EOS 1100D, stacked them (I think) and fiddled with some bits (I think) and here's the result.

Especially pleasing as I took it from the back garden due to not being able to venture far due to suffering from the inevitable consequences of eating my wife's cooking for the first (and, it would seem, last) time in years.

Think I really want to have the camera modded.

dont worry about modding yet iv seen some nice pics from unmodded cams

when you used DSS what settings did you use as in alligning, the mid tones, and the saturation?

I used Photoshop and just followed the advice given on this page - Basic Photoshop Image Correction for Astrophotos

I know there's SO much to learn about this and loads of subtleties to pull out, but I just wanted a quick fix last night!
