Macavity
The cheap 'n' cheerful ST102/F5 was my first scope. I realised fairly quickly that CA was going to be an inherent feature I have some success with a "Fringe Killer" and the (more-so!) "Contrast Booster". But mostly I try to ignore the CA - reconciling myself to using Achromat for LOW power / wide field and pairing it with my MAK127. The latter used for higher power / narrow fields. They do share many other resources mount/finder/eps etc. -- Enter the "virtual telescope" idea! I don't think I shall ever be in the position to own a "serious" APO etc. But the next stage / hope is for some reasonably priced "light bucket" - Probably Dobsonian? And there was me thinking that multiple scope owners were simply show-offs. But self justification is a wonderful thing...
