Spot the....what?

Hi. Yesterday I was out observing the Sun, in particular the large sunspot group AR1429. I noticed something peculiar in the largest (westmost) spot of the group and attempted to capture it using my digital camera. The results were rather less than wonderful, but I have attached a couple of pics for you to look at.

What I saw was a thin light-coloured line reaching from the spot's 11 o'clock position in towards the centre - I'm guessing maybe a filament of material being drawn in along a magnetic line? It is just visible on the first picture - taken at 11:30 am - if you magnify it slightly. The second picture, taken about 4 1/2 hours later, shows the same area. The filament was fainter, though still visible, but appeared to have shifted slightly to the right.

Any comments?
