Can a finderscope be mounted for use with either eye?

Hi all,

I've been looking at getting a TAL 150P, by the look of it the finderscope is fitted for left eye use. That's not an option for me as I have heavily right eye dominated sight.

I was wondering if there is any way to set it up for right eye use, otherwise I will be walking behind the scope to use the finder with my right eye then back again to the main scope eye piece!

I appreciate that I could spend some money on a right-angled finderscope, is that the only practical solution?

Just rotate the tube in its rings so the finder is on the other side

So looking from behind the scope, the main eyepiece is at 11 o'clock and the finderscope is at 9 o'clock?

Yes, although, it means you'll be bending down to the finder....

You could always drill and mount the shoe on the other side of the focuser
