Jupiter & Moons

Crikey, a fairly clear sky last night for one hour. Rushed out and took a few hurried shots at Jupiter. It proved to as difficult as usual. This one was 120 out of 1200 frames. I took the moons seperate and superimposed them on the final. Can anyone confirm that the black dot is the shadow of Io.

What time, BST, did you capture?

Cant quite remember about midnight

if it's an AVI by k3ccdtools, the time is probably stamped somewhere in the file, or the file system will remember the time of creation of the file.

Had a quick peek at Starry Night. Could well have been Ganymede. I looked at Jupiter just before midnight and could see three moons. Not good enough to see any shadows on the disk.
