A feeble sun from the 8th

Having discovered my 80ED solar filter has a hole in it :( (http://stargazerslounge.com/observing-lunar-solar/179448-black-patch.html), I used the filter I put together for my 70-200 and the 2x TC to have a look... I took a shot anyway, manually focused, which is amazingly hard with such a short turn of the focus ring from min to infinity and beyond (this was before I realised I could get AF with the TC). It's a lot smaller than normal, and a big crop, but it's only 400mm..

If you put White tape over your BLACK SPOT it will protect your eyes and you will not see it in your images at all
