Lens shake on D90

I am just wondering if anyone can tell me before I go and dig out the D90 manual if locking the mirror up to get rid of lens shake stops you being able to use live view? The reason I ask is I have just got a t-adapter to connect my camera to my skywatcher 127 mak on a eq3-2 mount but every pic I took tonight has vibration in it. A night ruined as the pics looked decent on the cams screen but on laptop they look shocking. I managed to capture mars and jupiter as well but at home the just look like blobs. This is my 1st attempt and I shall be out again trying again but any tips would be braw.
