William Optics 1.25" Dielectric Diagonal

Just bought one of these. It looks and feels good but in use I find changing EPs isn't as easy as I had hoped. I have to "jiggle" the EPs past the collar which also takes about ten turns of the screw to tighten or loosen. I had hoped for a quicker and safer daiagonal than the cheapo one that came with the scope, but I am really disappointed with it. Anyone else have one? - and how do you find it?

Was it new or used.

I just sold one but about two turns of the screw was all that was needed and eyepieces just dropped in.

One thought. Look inside the top and see if the gap in the brass compression ring has ended up aligned with the screw. If it is slide it round so it isn't.
