transporting a dob

whats the best way to transport a dob?

i have a 200 flex tube auto dob

is it best to get the whole uint in the boot or split it in two and sit it on the back seats?

Hi Tom i got the 300p flextube,the ota takes up the whole back seat and i chuck the base in the boot.My mate has got the same scope as you,and thats what he does.

I have the same scope, base in the boot, scope on the passenger seat, I put the seabelt around it but didn't feel secure enough so now have two elastic things with hooks on the end that I use to secure it better, can get them from halfords.

i seen before buying pictures of it the whole assembly in someones boot. i cant see it fitting like that in my car and didnt trust it that way either
