A while ago PSP X was offered as a free download with no restrictions. Some versions are still available at very low prices, just do an internet search for free PSP, be careful some are just 30 day trials and others are shareware.

I have the new version but I don't much like it, the whole thing got too fiddly when Corel took over Jasc. Anyway I have a working version now so I'm happy

I've been using PSP 7 for years, then I tried the later one by Corel, and yes I totally agree, it has been messed up

So I also stick with v7 .. loads instantly etc

Although I've been learning to use Adobe Photoshop as it appears to have more options. It takes ages to load though.
