as every one knows i really want to get a astrotrac / similar thing

after brushing with the vixen photoguider mk1 with its bent worm drive iv been thinking of a new thing

from the ground up is this fiesable / would it work

EQ2 tripod + head goes to

camera quick release head (heavy duty thing) goes to

astrotrac (or fornax / polaria ect)

goes to another heavy duty head with quick realse head for scopes / camera

the only reason why i thought about that is for one it would be cheaper than buying the full travel kit so cheaper than the tripod, the geared head, and it would be at the correct latitude.

i know it might defeat the object of a lightweight AP but would it work?
