Colour CCD and Ha filter?

Howdy scopers.

Been out of the game for bit with a house move and all the joys that chaos brings but now ready to start getting my teeth into more imaging.

After having a go at the horsehead nebula for the first time I now want to start adding some Hydrogen Alpha to my images to enhance the detail but I currently only have a one shot colour Atik 314L+.

Is it possible to get a decent/useable Ha signal using a Ha filter on a one shot colour cam?

Yes it is possible with the right subject - not ideal but it can work very well - here is one I took 5 years ago using a OSC CCD camera and an Astronomik 12nm Ha filter.

I have used Ha filters with modified DSLR's and your OSC Astro CCD is probably more Sensitive so should be fine...
