Unfinished M42

Started mid January, and with Orion moving fast towards the horizon, it looks unlikely that I'm going to add the S2 and O3 channels to this Ha image this year.

Full size image is a lot cleaner, but I'm pleased with this as a start point.

Atik314L+, Megrez72, Baader Ha filter (no flattener).

20 x 300 secs

10 x 60 secs

10 x 30 secs

That looks amazing! That is a tremendous amount of detail! Too bad you probably wont get around to finishing it off this year.

Thanks for the nice comment. Credit must go to the Atik314, what a great camera. So sensitive, yet relatively noise free (normally no darks required). Can't wait for some more clear nights.
