Carbon Brush
You might find it useful to access the aviation sector of the Met Office site.In there you will find TAFs, terminal area forecasts. These are produced by meteorologists at local airfields, using of course local knowledge. You will get probabilty of rain, degree of cloud cover. Wind speed and gusts. All good stuff for deciding whether to set up for the evening. The only down side is the forecast is written in a code, rather than plain English. But there is a decode page! mallorcasaint
You also get astronomy forecasts on Metcheck. Very handy!

Beyond_Vision
I would go by the satellite images either on the Met Office page or Sat24.com. You can get a good idea if cloud is heading your way. The rain radar images on the metoffice page is also handy.
Squagnut
Yeh, I always use the satelllite images - I find the ones which show an animated view of Europe's skies for the last 24 hrs are most useful - they cover a large swathe of the Atlantic too.
