Firt guided image

Four of us from the Astro Soc of Glasgow are just back form COAA. The have a 20" driven Newtonian there and I attached a Canon 350D to it. This is my first ever guided prime fous image. A single exposure of 2 minutes, tweaked in Photoshop. I am quite pleased.

COAA has a 20" driven Newt, a 12" driven Newt, an 8" driven Newt (used mainly with a CCD), a 12" Dob and a driven camera mount, for those wide field shots. The hosts (Bev and Jan) are nice people, Bev knows the night sky and his 'scopes/equipment very well and Jan is a super cook. The weather is much better than the UK too - better seeing and pretty arid - not like the constant Monsoon season we get here.

I hope you like the image - beats anything I have managed before.

Tom
