Adrian Condon Posted February 17, 2012 Share Posted February 17, 2012 Hi Claire,I fully agree with Jules's recommendation of a ND 096 Neutral Density filter, it reduces the glare without materially effecting the grey shades on the Moon. I use a Meade ND 96 (0.9) which gives a 13% reduction of the glare, a ND 96 (0.6) filter would reduce it by 25%.I think a green Moon would look a bit cheesy!!!The green filter sometimes helps with Mars and Jupiter.Remember to get a filter that has the same diameter as your eyepieces....CheersAdrianCheersAdrian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
