EQ3-2 Wibbly wobbly

The 150P is fine on the EQ3-2. Good match for visual use and possible to get some nice starter prime focus DSLR images. The PL and long refractors are a different story because of the much longer tubes rather than the weight.

Are you saying the 150PL is too heavy for the eq 3-2? Why are they sold as a couple then?

The PL is right on the limit from my experience. It depends on what you want to use it for, visually I find it quite OK but others are more finnicky. Suppression pads and an SW auto focuser help immensely when using a webcam.

I'm not sure how much of an issue is the mount as it is the tripod though, probably both.

I guess it comes down to price at the end of the day, if everything meets specs then it's fine technically speaking.
