A quick (stupid) question

Looks like a nice clear sky tonight in my neck of the woods. I'm going to be putting the scope out for the second time ever, but this to cool down first!

Do I cool it down with the corrector plate cover on or off and dew shield on or off?

Thanks for any advice

I would leave the corrector plate cover on - or remove it and add the dew shield, but point the scope down ward (doesn't have to be directly down).

I've found that this helps in preventing dew build up while cooling.
