So, it's hello from me, and good night from him!

A retailer who specialises in the supply of astronomy equipment and is authorised to do so by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's UK distributer.

Ah, right, we seem to be broadly using it the same context with the single exception of the "being authorised". For that one would have to have been party to letters and paperwork between the two which covered this and granted certain rights, and as a result, no, I'm not sure, just like nearly everyone else would not be in a position to be sure either, or at least that is what I'm guessing.

I am not doubting what you say :clouds1:

No, however what anyone says should not go totally unchallenged or taxed, so as to add value to the information in general. It is expected. It tends to clarify at the very least; and that is a good thing in my view.:cussing:

You mentioned you cancelled your order the same day your telescope arrived at the retailer.

That is an interesting interpretation of what I failed to clearly convey. (also highlighting not going unchallenged as a good thing!)

What happened was that once I placed the order, for what were 3 moderately obscure items, it became clear that I was quite possibly buying the last one they had in each case, as they removed them from being available on the web site. The same day that I wrote cancelling the order those goods were added back to the site as being available once more. All I knew from this is that they were acting in the ongoing matter, but only to make sure they were up for sale again, not that they were refunding me for the (now canceled) non dispatched goods. Doing both would have made sense and been much nicer than how it stands right now.

I'm hoping I made a better job of outlining the situation this time? :D

You have, thank-you :clouds1:

I have also read your review in the Dealer Review section. Scopes n Skies have thirty days to do the refund, it sounds like you cancelled less than a week ago. I am confident you will receive your money. I don't think you have any reason to be concerned.

Hope that helps.
