HEQ5 pro silly question?

hi all

i have a sw heq5 pro mount and usually set up the mount the same way each time for my nights astro photograph, and have no probs at all. i was bored this pm so i had a look at all the settings on the syscan hand unit.

then i had a thought, if for instance i wanted to just pop out and have a look at the moon for a quick half hour, can i just pop the mount on the tripod aligned north, de-clutch the mount and manually move it to point at the moon and select from the hand unit lunar rate and then just view moon thru ep as usual and the mount will track it.

sorry if this is a daft question but i have always usually done a full polar align and 3 star alignment.

but this takes time and for just a quick half hour viewing was hopping this would work.

That will work and save quite a bit of time s well.

thanks bizi thats nice to know, its a pain to do the whole setup when i only have 30mins to view.

is there any other handy hidden features worth knowing about?
