afocal advice needed

Recommended Posts

Could someone help me with suggestions on a suitable budget digital camera for afocal photography? What features/spec would the camera need to have?

I have a mechanical attachment which will allow the camera lens to be placed right up to the eyepiece rubber caps.

Is this the best method or are there other more effective couplings?

Grateful for any advice

Dave Stone

I can tell you from experience that the light meter for the camera must be behind the lens. If it isn't, every one of your shots will be overexposed. The light meter in my camera isn't, so I can't get really satisfactory results.
