DSLR for aurora imaging

Stargazer Jack

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am hoping to image some auroras soon and was wondering if the Canon 1100D would be OK before I buy it. Also, what would be a good lense for imaging auroras? Would 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III lenses be fine cause you can get these and the camera for a good price at Currys at the moment?

Virtually any camera would work fine I think. Yes, the Canon 1100D would be fine. Not see aurora myself by I imagine you'd want a wide angle lens. Over to folks much further north :icon_salut:
