New Astronomer from St Helens

Hello eveybody!

I have been into Astronomy since a child, but bought a 6" reflector 7 months ago and have become even more hooked in the practical side.

I got my new upgrade yesterday a Skywatcher 200p EQ5 and I am now going to get to grips with the photography side and eventually add to more equipment and get a refractor!

Just looking forward to some clear skies.

Hello Phil and NM,

I am also in St.Helens, Merseyside, at Hillbrae Avenue, Moss Bank. I have a 4" F8 Meade refractor and I am trying to cope with the Light Pollution of mag. 4.2 skies to the South and mag. 4.5 to the North, 1/2 way up Moss Bank hill. Maybe you Phil or NM are having better luck with your St.Helens skies than I am? Whereabouts in St.Helens are you based? PM me and we can talk a little about 'scopes and/or Astronomy activities in St.Helens.
