Trickystar1
Hello all, I'm new to these forums however I have been studying the stars for as long as I can remember. I currently have celestron 127eq powerseeker and a 8 " dob. I'm looking to get another telescope and was wondering what people's experiences were of both the Nexstar 6se and the Skywatcher 250PX scopes? I also wondered if the bigger apature of the Skywatcher is a huge difference from the Nexstar 6se. Thanks
Trickystar1
Sorry for the double thread, have no idea why it did that!
Demonperformer
I used the 6SE for a couple of years and found it great. I also had a 10" dob for a while, but found it unmanageable (due to its size). If you can manage the bigger scope, it will beat the 6" hands down, especially if it has GOTO like the 6SE.HTH
RikM
The 250PX will give much better views of DSO's than the 6SE, but not vastly better than your current 8" Dob.
