Star Gazing Live for Kids (and adults)

I just wanted to mention that last night I took part in a stargazing event at a local school. It was really exciting to see the reactions of both the kids and parents. We had about 6 or 7 scopes of varying sizes set up with a member of the local society looking after each one.

Honestly it gave me a realy buzz to see this level of enthusiam. Seeing was good for a couple of hours and with Venus very close to the Cresent Moon, Jupiter, The Pleiades and Orion Nubula performing well. So a very successful eveing indeed. Just wanted to share !

Hi King, Lets all hope it encourages the parents to go out and buy the kids all new scopes so they can enjoy this Grreat Hobby...
