Some help and advice please guys.

I want to use a webcam to take shots of the planets etc, and wondered if anyone else has had any success and what webcam do you recommend ccd as opposed to cemos and what make and model also what mods to make.

I've been onto other sites but they seem to be using models that are no longer available

Toucam is the thing to use, available from Bern (top bloke BTW) at Modern Astronomy, or other places.

I second that.

I started with a Toucam ( I believe that the one I use is no longer available) but the latest incarnation is an excellent camera.

I would also recommend an IR filter which is needed in our polluted skies.
