what to buy?

hiya there looking to buy this Sky Watcher 130

and wondering if its worth it or is there any sugestions.

i no the more expensive the better but im just starting out.

welcome to sgl. yes it's a good scope I prefer the 130p as it gives a wider field and it's not as bulky but I appreciate that's an extra £35. Be that as it may at that price point the 130 and it's variants is the best scope out there by miles if you could stretch to this amount of money this one is seriously better First Light Optics - Skywatcher Skyliner 150P Dobsonian essentially it's the same scope, next size up and on a cheaper base imo the best scope under £200 by miles and if by some miracle you do ever upgrade its quite sought after so you wuill not not lose much on the deal

This scope is okay and the mount is just about passable.

However I would agree with rowan in that the 150 skyliner is miles better with the mount being considerably more stable.

If you could stretch your budget to one of these, I would.
