Seeing supposed to be not so great, so I grabbed my DBK618, but the images turned out better then I expected.

Took only two sets.

I've heard a saying in polar travelling that says that the people who succeed are the ones that get outside also in seemingly impossible conditions/weather even though this might mean to stop once outside.

So this picture shows not to be discouraged to get out and image in spite of sub-optimal seeing conditions predictions.

(BTW, is there a concensus for the orentation of Jupiter in images ? Although I usually point the South pole downwards, I see most people present south on top, and how about East and West ?)

Most professional astro sites require that the south pole is up.

Do not know the reason why..

Rotation is East-West.
