Ashford Astronomical Society presents in collaboration with the BBC, Stargazing Live 2012. Woodchurch Community Centre, Lower Road, Woodchurch, Kent, TN26 3SQ

Things kick off at 18:00 we will have a selection of telescopes set up outside for some public viewing, weather permitting. Inside... the main hall, we will be having a selection of highly entertaining astronomical talks and planetarium shows on our main screen.

In the 'Summer House', we will be hosting a telescope workshop with our resident experts and retail partners.

Refeshments will be available, ample parking and all are welcome.

Gonna take a trip down to this tonight with my son. Fingers crossed for a clear night.

Must have been a mix up as there was no one there, so we drove to Cranbrook where the school were hosting a small meeting.

A really good meet (my first) and it has certainly fuelled both my interest and that of my 18 year old son !
