WO Megrez 80/600 with TMB/LOMO optics

Just purchased one of these lovely little refractors NEW from Ian King - the optics date back to 2002 according to the enclosed certfiicate!

One or two items I need to add:

Any one know:

1. Which battery fits the (latest) DDG 2" focuser?

2. Where I can purchase a screw to affix a Baader Skysurfer MkV shoe to the DDG focuser (is it an M6 ???)

3. Where I can purchase a stainless-steel compression ring thumb screw for the 2" aperture in the drawtube?

Can't wait for a clear evening...! Sod's Law it will remain cloudy for at least two weeks now...!

Make sure you give it enough cool down time especially for very high powers. The triplets do take a bit longer. Hope you have some top notch EP's to take advantage of that lens.

If I had of known it was available I would have bought it.

Well that's reassuring Mr O! I'll remember the tip about cooling down time.

With regard to eyepieces look at my forum sig and decide.... They all arecertainly great on my other triplets especially the FLT 132, which is a stunning scope.

Ian King only had two of these arrive from WO: an 80/480 and the 80/600. I purchased the latter before it was an hour old on his website. The other disappeared earlier today.

I have a LOMO 80/480 lens in a Stellarvue tube. It's amazing. I heard the LOMO 80/600 is even better but some said the 80/600 is very rare. The total production is probably in double digits.

I have an FLT98 and the screw size is M4 (no idea if its the same) but I got the screws from screwfix.
