First crack at astrophotography

I've been doing observational astronomy for quite a while now, but had never really tried to photograph things until the other night. I had a go at taking some shots of the Moon at prime focus with my C6 SCT.

Here's the best of my attempts - clearly need to work on focusing!

I suspect the focussing maybe Ok its just the darned atmosphere that causes that sort of "soft" image. Try taking around 40-60 shots and stacking them - you'll be amazed at the difference.

Stofler is nice and prominent, as well as some rays.
