My Solar System Showcase - 2011

It's very hard to harmonise this particular Sun image that I used. There were others that would have done the job but it had to be this one!

Hmm, yeah... I'll remove the embedding and have it as a link. That'll give the option to expand/retract and facilitate finding where everything is.

There are so many ways I could still improve the layout more. I rather wish I'd set the planetary positions according to their phases now...

Nice "stitch". I prefer the layout of the first though.

What scale did you pick for earth and how did you photograph it :-)

For Earth I simply took a view of it from the Moon in Stellarium.

Sorry for hijacking, but how do you do this?

"Location" is the top option of the left sidebar. Simply select whatever from the "Planet" dropdown and in this case do a search for "Earth". You could - for instance - watch a Uranus set from Miranda or visa versa. Very interesting. Or you could do something really unreal and watch all the planets from... the Sun! O_O
