Back Focus Question

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Merry Christmas,

Today I got my adapters for my camera and I quickly tried to focus on a tree around 200-300 meters away. It did not focus but it focussed on a closer tree around 100 meters away. Does this mean I do not have sufficent back focus for stars? Thanks to anyone who posts as I assume everyone is busy at this time.

I found that the camera has to literally be attached (via the adapter ring) to the focusser, i.e. no extension tubes. I used the maxdslr, but i think you can use part of the 1.25" adapter. I'll try to post a pic of what i mean when I get home tonight.
