2 particularly daft questions

Recommended Posts

So, I'm in my garage just now unpacking my first ever scope, a cpc1100, and I'm stuck on two things ...

How do I remove the dust cover from my Celestron star diagonal??? It just won't budge. I presume it screws off anti-clockwise? The chrome thumb screws for afixing the lens are out, but I don't think that holds the plastic dust cap, does it? Does it just need brute force?

Secondly, looking at the top of the back of my scope (the plastic area) there are two rows of screws. One innermost with 2 screws on the top, and one each where the forks attach, and 3x two lots of screws rearmost. I presume its these rear screws which can be used to affix finders and brackets, etc?

Thanks for the help.
