The Sun 22 December 2011 white light and new processing method in PS

The Mess Office (and Sat24!) said it would be cloudy today so I went shopping - only to realise that I had totally clear blue skies from horizon to horizon! So I zoomed home and took a few snaps of the Sun: Usual SW Evostar Achro 120mm stopped to 100mm, Canon 1000D and Baader Solar film. Processed In R5 and a new attempt at extracting more detail in PS CS5. (I did try without the false colour but the image looked awful on a monitor so "new improved false yellow/orange" it is). Hope you like it!

I love it! what detail

It was beautiful blue sky here today too, however I was at work, I bet it will rain from now until the New Year as I'm on holiday and desperate for some solar.

Superb! Your getting a lot of granulation here, which filter are you using and can you tell us more on this new secret processing technique?

No filters (apart from the Baader Solar on the front of the scope). I'm keeping the PS technique a secret at the moment!! (Mainly 'cos i can't quite remember what i did and in what order I did it!!)
