M42 with tennis man

After having had weeks of cloud or fog I dodged the rain to quickly image M42 with an old Canon 300mm 2.8 FD lens I modded and 40D. This is just 16 x 80 seconds, cloud permiting I want to add another 80 or so to smooth it out a bit. I think my clip filter is reacting with the fast 2.8 lens causing the bloated stars, it makes the picture look rather ugly:( Stacked in DSS & processed in PI. Thanks for looking!

Awe, come now, that's worked out pretty well. You could easily process a less stretched star layer and combine it with the full stretch you present here. One stretch rarely fits all, so to speak. There's lots to work with in what you have. Good stuff.
