CG5, Shoestring guide port and QH5Y

Hi,

Ive just modded my cg-5 handset with this port and am trying to use it with a qh5y guidecam.

Ive connected the cam to my pc, and also to the new st4 port on my handset. Im trying to test it using PHD's "Manual Guide" feature, but its only working on the north button.

The handset buttons still work and the soldering seems (ugly but) effective.

I've tested continuity on the st4 cable port and that's ok.

Not sure where to go from here really. Any ideas?

Never mind, I found an answer on the shoestring astro forum. It has to do with the type of relays used in the guider.
