Skywatcher startravel 120 or Celestron firstscope 90eq

Recommended Posts

I have just bought a Firstscope 90eq but have seen a Startravel 120 for sale near me.

Should I stick with the Firstscope or buy the Startravel and sell the celestron on. Is there a huge difference between these scopes?

The thing that appeals to me most is the portability of a shortube.

Cheers

It really depends on what you would like to view.

The Firstscope is probably better for planets and the moon, whilst the Startravel has a wider field of view, so would be better for nebulae and other larger targets. I can't comment on how well built either is.

There is always a trade-off with telescopes, and you could argue having both of these is the best option for you!
