NEQ3 belt mod - anyone tried to....

Hi, I have an NEQ3 Pro-SynScan which makes more noise when slewing than I dare put the neighbours through at 0300.

Having just modified the gears on my NEQ6 Pro to belts (see George's thread on this -great thread) which is now so quiet I have to check to see if its moving!

I'm considering the same mod for the NEQ3.

Gearing appears to be asymmetric on the NEQ3 compared to the NEQ6. So not a simple duplication of effort.

If anyone has tried this how did it go...

Once I've had a count up of the gear teeth and find out what reduction there is for the Dec and RA axes I'll see what sort of belt/pulley combo's are available.

Or wrap those motors in some noise suppresing boxes
