Video mode with my Powershot S95

I've had my first attempt with the video mode and find it does seem to have linmitations. For a start there is very little control over exposure so my full moon shots turned out totally overposed even at the lowest setting. Also it only uses the digital zoom. The resolution doesn't seem good enough to be able to crop the photos to any great extent, but perhaps I'm expecting too much.

For comparison here are 2 photos, the first a single shot and the second a stacking of 10 secs of video with Registax ( 1st time I've used it so I'm not sure whether I've got the wavelets right ).

I'd welcome any comments and advice.

your registax image is extremely good, so much that i would suggest sticking with the format, see how far you can take it to, how did you support camera to the telescope

The stacked image has some wonderful detail. The single shot ain't bad either! Was this shot through an eyepiece?
