How to power a dual axis motor

Hi there

Can anyone tell me what options I have to power these--

Celestron Dual Axis Motor Drive CG-4

other than using the 4 "D" Batteries?

I do have an electric supply near my viewing point.

Some form of power supply, rated at 6v and able to provide minimum of 2 amps should suffice. You may need to check the polarity and size of the plug that fits the controller

I was thinking about using a MAINS POWER ADAPTOR with various settings one being 6 volt, but what amps should it be & what polarity?? any ideas?

The last thing I want to do is blow the hand controller

It is normal for the center pin to be the the live (+) and the outer to be the negative (-).

But it is always better to check with a multimeter meter first.
