A big Sun

Todays full disc of the Sun taken with my Evostar 120 achromat stopped to 100mm, Baader Solar Filter (no other filters) and Canon 1000D ISO100, 1/320 sec.

Quite a few folk ask "how big an image do you get?" so I posted this one. It is a stack of 45 single frames, stacked in Registax5, then cropped to square and converted to JPEG for posting. No other processing at all.

loving the image! - can't wait to have a go at imaging properly myself (with registax etc).

Got my baader solar filter all sorted and my canon 450d so just need to motivate myself to set it all up.
