Jupiter & Moons - 10/11/11

Even down with a heavy chest infection I couldn't resist the lure of a decent clear night to have a play

Spent a couple of hours using the QHY5 camera to captur some video before the cold got to me and I needed to come back in...and process the results in Registax 5.1.

This was the end product, which I'm quite pleased with as focusing seemed hard tonight. This was a non-composite image, ie it's not one image for the moons and one for the planet layered up in Photoshop.

Now for a hot toddy and off to bed....

Nice !

I like the images with several moons. It gives a sense of just how big that planet is and fascinating these moons are held in orbit by it's mass.
